Cleaning of Production Equipment
The FDA considers the cleaning of production equipment in the pharmaceutical industry to be of equal importance to the production process itself. All equipment cleaning must meet documentation standards, and the cleaning process must be validated according to FDA standards.
Features
CIP System with Buffer Tank.
- The mobile CIP unit can be easily moved from one department to another and connected to the equipment and supplies using flexible hoses.
- Heating elements are mounted in the CIP vessel to heat the CIP liquid.
- A booster pump builds up supply pressure for the spray ball in the mixing tank or for the pipings that need to be cleaned with the CIP liquid.
- The supply pump is controlled by a frequency inverter, allowing regulation of the supply pressure.
- A self-priming return pump pumps the CIP liquid back to the CIP unit.
- The module CIP unit is equipped with two proportioning pumps for dosing acidic and alkaline detergents.
- If the mixing vessel has a permanent spray ball, the supply line of the CIP unit is connected directly to the spray ball using a flexible hose.
CIP System without Buffer Tank.
- The CIP system is useful for cleaning and washing vessels, tanks, bins, fluid bed equipment, high shear mixers, blenders, auto coaters, and IPC bins.
- The CIP system can be supplied with a liquid detergent tank, an acidic tank with a dosing pump, etc., as per customer requirements.
- Connect WFI, pure steam, compressed air, and utility to the system.
- A common pump is provided to circulate CIP water and drains.
- A conductivity sensor is provided at the drain to validate the CIP cycle.
- Pressure leak tests and SIP cycles are validated by PT and TT.
- A fully automatic control panel is provided with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
